As a few of you may know, sustainability is important us at Open Farm. Five years ago, we were the first pet food company to create a nationwide pet food packaging recycling program. And since then, we’ve constantly brainstormed and thought – what’s next? What else can we do to reduce our environmental footprint?

As of June 30, 2020, we’re proud to announce that Open Farm has officially partnered with Loop, the circular shopping platform developed by international recycling leader TerraCycle®, as the first ever pet food participant. So in simple terms – we’re the first pet food to introduce reusable recycling.
With this new partnership, we will introduce consumers to reusable, refillable packaging as part of our ongoing effort to positively impact the environment and reduce the use of single use packaging and disposable waste. Beginning immediately, consumers located in select markets can purchase Open Farm Chicken & Lamb Freeze-Dried Raw Dog Food in reusable containers that are collected, cleaned, refilled and reused.
